If you have a LinkedIn profile but no clue what to do with it, this workshop is for you!

We will cover how to effectively leverage LinkedIn and your personal network in order to be successful when internship/job searching and establish a professional online presence. Participants will be led through using LinkedIn to search for alumni (or other contacts) in geographic or industry areas of their interest, joining and engaging in groups, and sending strong connection request messages. You are strongly encouraged to bring your laptop as the main portion of the program will be hands on work utilizing LinkedIn search tools and taking action to build your network. Participants should have a LinkedIn profile setup and general familiarity with using the site. If you are looking for information on creating a strong profile, keep your eyes peeled for our LinkedIn 101: Establishing Your Profile workshop on January 31.

There is no dress code for this event, but we will offer on-site headshots to use for your profile and encourage you to dress in business casual attire if you would like to take advantage of this service.
