Want to know the source of good health? Jessica Smith will spend the lunch hour sharing the origins of what Hippocrates meant when he said, “Let food be thy medicine.” The truth is that it goes even deeper than this, and the food of today is not like it used to be! In this presentation, you will be taken on a journey to where your food comes from and why that is important for your own health and the health of our future generations.
Join us at this lunch and learn to deepen your awareness and understanding of the food you put on your plate — and be prepared for a boost of empowerment in your daily life!
This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, and registration is required. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch to the event. Water and iced tea will be provided.
Jessica Smith will lead the SPCS Think Again “Nutrient Dense Gardening” class May 9–June 3. Visit spcs.richmond.edu/backyard for details.
