Assessment of New Business Models for Renewable Energy Development in Virginia

On April 5th 2017, VA-REA will host its second LEAD series forum of 2017 in partnership with the University of Richmond, in Richmond Virginia.

The half-day event will consider the pros and cons of innovative financing mechanisms for renewable energy development in Virginia, feature a tour of the 205kW solar array at the University of Richmond, and provide networking opportunities with renewable energy stakeholders.

University of Richmond students can register for free here, and University of Richmond staff can register for free here.

Purpose of event:
-Hear from panelists defining the pros and cons of innovative financing mechanisms for utility and DG renewable energy development in Virginia
-Panelists to include representatives from private financing institutions, solar developers, investor owned utilities, legal firms, and state agencies;
-Strengthen professional connections and business opportunities by interacting with industry, utility, policy and financing leaders within the Virginia renewable energy market; and
-Learn about innovative technology, financing mechanisms and research opportunities for solar energy as demonstrated be the solar array at the University of Richmond.
