Summer in the City: Bolling Haxall House

UR Downtown hosts Summer in the City excursions for University of Richmond faculty and staff to highlight some of our favorite downtown destinations. This year's series focuses on archaeology and preservation in downtown Richmond. 

The Bolling Haxall House, a Virginia Historic Landmark, is an 1858 Italianate mansion built for Bolling Walker Haxall and home to The Women's Club since 1900. Becky Thomas of the Bolling Haxall House Foundation will lead a guided tour of the property. The UR Downtown Shuttle departs from Tyler Haynes Commons at 11 a.m. and returns to campus following the program by 12:45 p.m. Lunch boxes will be provided by Richmond on Broad Café.
