Riva is a small-time operator who has just returned to his hometown with a major score: a fortune in hijacked gasoline. Riding high, Riva is soon entranced by Nora, the girlfriend of a local gangster. Trouble comes knocking when an Angolan crime lord arrives seeking the return of his stolen gasoline

This film is part of African Film Weekend, an annual festival of contemporary film which features a selection of the most highly-acclaimed work produced throughout Africa and the diaspora. The 2017 festival is presented by Dr. Kasongo Kapanga of the University of Richmond and guest curator Dr. Aliko Songolo of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
