RVA is definitely on the map! Richmond is not just about history anymore. Yes, we have wonderful historic sites, dating back to early settlement days through the American Revolution, into the Civil War, and right up to current events. But we’re also all about sports, with great regional and national events, biking/walking trails, and the James River that lures us to the water. We’re definitely a foodie town. We have nationally acclaimed restaurants, wineries, and breweries right here.

We have become a destination for visitors to try once: and then they often decide to return. Come hear how and why these positive changes have occurred and how they affect our economy.

This event is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Osher Institute at the University of Richmond. The lecturer is Richmond’s own Jack Berry, recent Richmond mayoral candidate and former executive director of Venture Richmond.

Osher members should register themselves and their guests using the Osher online registration portal.
