Eve, a young chambermaid at a luxurious Mexico City hotel, copes with the drudgery of her job, motivated by the desire to provide a good life for her son and get a higher education. Inventing ways to break her tedious everyday routine, she finds liberation through investigating the lives of the transient guests and stealing precious time for herself, using her invisibility as a means to subvert the daily grind.
