Based on the acclaimed novel, this film chronicles the lives of twin sisters who become caught up in the events of the 1960s Nigerian Civil War. After returning to Nigeria from studying abroad, their eyes open to the violence around them.

This film is part of African Film Weekend, an annual festival of contemporary film which features a selection of the most highly-acclaimed work produced throughout Africa and the diaspora. The 2017 festival is presented by Dr. Kasongo Kapanga of the University of Richmond and guest curator Dr. Aliko Songolo of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
