Dirs. Catherine Gund & Daresha Kyi | USA - Mexico - Spain | 2017 | 93 min.

An evocative documentary chronicling the life of the iconoclastic musician Chavela Vargas, who gained notoriety both for her unique voice and her renditions of ranchera songs traditionally sung by men to women. A powerful portrait of the artist, who lived life unapologetically, defying cultural conventions and social norms.
