Richmond is home to a vibrant arts scene with many theatres, museums, galleries, performance venues, and the University’s own Modlin Center for the Arts. In addition to participating in RVA First Fridays, UR Downtown hosts gatherings in advance of selected downtown performances for University of Richmond students, faculty, staff, and alumni and local performers and directors. Transportation is provided from campus, and registration is required. Performance tickets will be purchased for students in advance.

On Thursday, February 22 at 5:30 p.m., join us for dinner at UR Downtown followed by Virginia Repertory Theatre's production of A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry with direction by Tawnya Pettiford-Wates. Lorraine Hansberry’s Tony award-nominated domestic drama follows the story of the Younger family as they discover the dangers of dreaming big and the heartbreak of reality.
