Richmond is home to a vibrant arts scene with many theatres, museums, galleries, performance venues, and the University’s own Modlin Center for the Arts. In addition to participating in RVA First Fridays, UR Downtown hosts gatherings in advance of selected downtown performances for University of Richmond students, faculty, staff, and alumni and local performers and directors. Transportation is provided from campus, and registration is required. Performance tickets will be purchased for students in advance.

On Friday, March 9 at 5:30 p.m., join us for dinner at UR Downtown followed by a Richmond Symphony event. This Casual Fridays Concert features “Pictures from an Exhibition – A Remembrance of Viktor Hartmann," a suite of ten pieces composed for the piano by Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky in 1874. The suite is Mussorgsky’s most famous piano composition and has become a showpiece for virtuoso pianists.
