The Richmond College Dean's Office and the Greater Richmond Spiders invite all Richmond College alumni to join us at the Richmond College Founder's Day Dinner!

Although the University of Richmond traces its roots to a Baptist seminary founded in 1830, the date of March 4, 1840 holds special significance. On that date, the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Virginia passed an act of incorporation creating Richmond College as a liberal arts school for men.

A Founder's Day Dinner has been a tradition at various times in the College's history, with that purpose of sharing stories of the past and looking forward to the future. As we celebrate the 178th anniversary of the College's establishment, the Greater Richmond Spiders alumni group and the Richmond College Dean's Office invite you to join fellow Richmond College alumni and current students for a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and remarks from the Rev. Dr. Craig Kocher, University Chaplain and Jessie Ball duPont, Chair of the Chaplaincy.
