The campus community is invited to attend the Sophomore Scholars in Residence (SSIR) capstone presentations for the Out of the Sea community on Tuesday and Thursday, April 17 and 19, at 6:00 p.m. in Tyler Haynes Commons 321.  Over the course of these two evenings, students will present their research projects focused on human:ocean intersections exploring topics related to the origins and future of humanity as it relates to use of the sea. Throughout their spring semester, students have been working in small groups to examine themes in human history that have influenced and have been influenced by the oceans. Groups will also take future-oriented perspectives on the interaction between oceans and human populations.
