Ben Paul, a Policy Analyst at VCU and a 2011 Spider grad, knows how to use navigate the Spider “web”. Ben knows the importance of building relationships with professional peers as well as identifying and cultivating mentors—the two primary reasons that he was able to break into Virginia politics and policy. After a chance encounter with a Richmond alumna, Ben landed his first job as a staffer on the 2012 Virginia Senate race. According to Ben, you should never have to rely solely on your resume and cover letter to find a job and always remember to return to favor when your fellow Spiders come to you for advice one day! Come speak with Ben to learn all the other way he used his network to explore different job options.

**Please note: This chat will be in-person.
