Ed Pruden, a Spider grad and a Spider professor, was first a high school teacher for world and American history and government and economics, an assistant principal at middle and high schools, a principal of four schools, and finally, as a superintendent. At the University of Richmond, he has taught 11 courses for the Department of Education. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in education, come speak with Ed about navigating the education industry. Ed is also a member of the University of Richmond Alumni Association.

Career Chats offer the opportunity to learn from Spider alumni and friends of the University about career paths in a variety of industries and numerous topics relevant to *you*. These small virtual chats provide an intimate setting for you to hear about interesting paths taken by our hosts, ask questions regarding the industry in which they work and other post-grad experiences, and make meaningful connections with University of Richmond’s alumni network and beyond. Students of all class years and majors, in all stages of their career exploration, are welcome to participate.

Students abroad are welcome to participate in the chats virtually.
