Wear jeans on Wednesday, April 24th as a symbol that clothing does not indicate consent; consent can never be inferred and must always be clearly communicated.

Denim Day transpired after a survivor was denied justice in their court case against their rapist, because of the clothes they were wearing. The Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction stating that because the victim was wearing tight jeans, they must have helped the rapist take them off, thereby consenting. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans to show their solidarity with the victim.
