Ready to answer the question - "does it really take a rocket scientist?" Amy Snyder Hale, '93, is an Operations Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. After earning a Bachelor of Science in physics at UR, Amy went on to earn her Ph.D. and moved across the country to begin working at NASA. Leaving all of her friends and family, Amy made use of mentors, both formally and informally, to pursue her career goals. Ready to talk about navigating the grad school process, the security clearance process, and transitioning to a new city, Amy is excited to talk to UR students about her career path.

Career Chats offer the opportunity to learn from Spider alumni and friends of the University about career paths in a variety of industries and numerous topics relevant to *you*. These small virtual chats provide an intimate setting for you to hear about interesting paths taken by our hosts, ask questions regarding the industry in which they work and other post-grad experiences, and make meaningful connections with University of Richmond’s alumni network and beyond. Students of all class years and majors, in all stages of their career exploration, are welcome to participate.

Students abroad are welcome to participate in the chats virtually.
