Dir. Pablo Larraín, 2012, Chile, 117 min.

During a wave of protests against the repressive Pinochet regime, René, an ad-man, is enlisted by the “No” opposition campaign to create tv spots speaking out against government atrocities. When René insists that the country’s misery “won’t sell”, the campaign adapts more subversive modes of persuasion – up-beat jingles, song-and-dance numbers, and comedy in order to reach the masses and overthrow a dictator.
