Self Myofascial Release is self-massage using a foam roller, ball or device in conjunction with your body weight. By stimulating your connective tissue and nervous system, it creates a therapeutic pressure that helps to support your body's natural healing process. It helps to make stretching more effective and hydrates your fascia. It can help to alleviate pain or imbalances in the body and can smooth out the hard knots and get you moving better! The first 30 minutes are spent doing Myofascial release, and the last 15 minutes are spent doing mobility drills and movements to keep you using all ranges of motion and challenging your body to move in some new ways.
