Join children’s author Maria Gianferrari, who will offer a talk and book signing for the University community on October 2, 2019. Gianferrari is a picture book reading/writing resident of Virginia and author of dog-centered picture books (among others). Her books reflect diverse learners and cover many science themes.

This event is sponsored by the School of Arts & Sciences and the SPCS Graduate Education program. The event is free and open to the public.

Maria Gianferrari is a picture book reading/writing, tea-drinking, dog-loving, birdwatching resident of Virginia and author of dog-centered picture books including the Penny & Jelly booksOfficer Katz and HoundiniHello Goodbye DogOperation Rescue Dog and the forthcoming To Dogs, With Love. She also writes nonfiction picture books featuring creatures from the natural world: Coyote MoonTerrific Tongues, and Hawk Rising.
