Saul is a member of the Sonderkommando, a group of Jewish prisoners forced to assist the Nazis in the death camps. While working in one of the crematoriums, Saul discovers the body of a boy he believes to be his son. As other members of the Sonderkommando plan a rebellion, Saul decides to carry out an impossible task to give the child a proper burial.
