Speaker: Libby Adler, Professor Law and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies, Northeastern University

This talk will distinguish between depicting an lgbtq constituency that faces discrimination and is in need of an equal rights remedy, and conceptualizing various lgbtq subpopulations as encountering adverse legal and material conditions and needing redistributive remedies. The objective of this reframing is to generate fresh ideas for law reform that would advance the interests of the most marginalized sectors of the lgbtq community.
