Join the Modlin Center for the Arts for a lunch and conversation about female empowerment and the legacy of modern dance pioneer Martha Graham. In this discussion, artistic director Janet Eilber explores The EVE Project, a new work created for the Martha Graham Dance Company in celebration of the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment. The EVE Project honors not only the progress of women in the last 100 years, but provides an entrée into today’s most pressing conversations about gender and power. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn some of the most iconic poses from Graham choreography!

Martha Graham is inarguably the mother of American modern dance. One of the greatest artists of the 20th century, she forever altered the fabric of dance by creating an entirely new style of movement, rooting it in social, psychological, and sexual ideas. Today, the Martha Graham Dance Company exemplifies all she stood for and keeps her spirit of ingenuity alive by showcasing Graham masterpieces and new works inspired by her legacy.

The Martha Graham Dance Company performs The EVE Project at the Modlin Center for the Arts on October 9 and 10. Lunch attendees will receive a promo code for 50% off tickets.Tickets and information available at:
