Dir. Aki Kaurismäki, 2011,  France/Finland, 93 min.

In this warmhearted portrait of a French harbor city, fate throws young refugee, Idrissa into the path of Marcel Marx, a bohemian who works as a shoe shiner. With the support of his community, Marcel stands up to officials pursuing the boy for deportation, hiding him from the authorities. A political fairy tale that exists somewhere between the realities of contemporary France and classic cinema, Le Havre is a charming, deadpan delight.
