The 2nd Street Festival returns on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2. This community festival celebrates the rich culture of the historic Jackson Ward neighborhood in Downtown Richmond. This FREE event features three stages of live musical entertainment, popular food vendors, a marketplace and Artists Row to shop, and the Richmond Metropolitan Antique Car Club. Festival headliner Grandmaster Flash takes the main stage on Saturday. On Sunday, the main stage features a performance by 'I Would Die 4U: A Musical Tribute to PRINCE'. You can get to the festival by taking the Daily Connector to the Shoppes at Willow Lawn. Then you can walk to the Pulse station at Willow Lawn and take it to the Arts District stop. The Pulse is free and you do not need a ticket or money to board. From the Pulse stop, you can walk a couple blocks to 2nd Street.
