The Critical Language Scholarship is an intensive, fully-funded overseas language and cultural immersion program for American university students. Students spend the summer abroad studying a critical or understudied language (Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, or Urdu).
U.S. citizens in any year, including seniors graduating in 2024, are eligible to apply. Come to an info session to learn about eligibility, the application process, selection criteria, and resources to support applicants.
