A Discussion of Audre Lorde’s “Of Survival and Generators” with Alexis Pauline-Gumbs
The Humanities Center presents the Language of Man Syllabus. Please join us for a Discussion of Audre Lorde’s “Of Survival and Generators” with Alexis Pauline-Gumbs. This event will take place in the Humanities Commons on March 6th from noon to 1:30PM.
This year’s academic theme, “How (and why) do we represent nature?” explores how ecology, politics, and humanistic practices might be braided together, analyzing how we arrived at a moment of climate crisis, as well as dreaming toward potential futures of planetary thriving.
The UR Humanities Center offers public events as well as intensive research and community-building programs, guided by our mission to collate and amplify humanities study. Please subscribe to the Humanities Newsletter to keep up with Center activities, and follow @URHumanities on Instagram.
