The Humanities Center Presents the Language of Man Syllabus. Join Nathan Snaza for A Discussion of Walter Benjamin’s “On Language as Such and On the Language of Man". The event will take place in the Humanities Commons on September 17th from 1:30-2:30PM.

This year’s academic theme for the Humanities Center, “How (and why) do we represent nature?” explores how ecology, politics, and humanistic practices might be braided together, analyzing how we arrived at a moment of climate crisis, as well as dreaming toward potential futures of planetary thriving.

The UR Humanities Center offers public events as well as intensive research and community-building programs, guided by our mission to collate and amplify humanities study. Please subscribe to the Humanities Newsletter to keep up with Center activities, and follow @URHumanities on Instagram.
