Please join us in welcoming David Blanchard, founder of Blanchard's Coffee, to the stage with Professor Richard Coughlan for a candid and unscripted conversation on leadership, decision-making, corporate culture, and career paths.

UR alumnus David Blanchard began roasting coffee as a hobby just after graduating in 2002 and launched an unofficial coffee-of-the-month club a year later. In 2005, he formed Blanchard’s Coffee, initially selling products as a wholesaler and online retailer across the mid-Atlantic region. Today, as the firm approaches its 20th year of slow and steady growth, Blanchard’s operates three cafes in Richmond, distributes its coffee to restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops across the US, and ships to customers directly through online channels. Through the entire period of the company’s existence, David and his ever-growing team have prioritized strong relationships with farmers in coffee growing regions around the world.
