Join FYS Director Libby Gruner, Ryan Cales and Gabriel Matthews from the Faculty Hub, and your colleagues for a conversation about reading. Complaints that students aren’t doing the reading have been around forever, but most of us think we’re seeing something new now. For example, a recent piece in the Chronicle asks, “Is This the End of Reading?” (Spoiler alert: the answer might possibly be “yes”—but most of us are not quite ready to concede.) In this conversation, we’ll share what we’ve been seeing, but—most importantly—we’ll also share strategies. Please join us with both your concerns and your suggestions!
