Carol Parish, Floyd D. and Elisabeth S. Gottwald Chair in Chemistry, and Julie Pollock, Associate Professor of Chemistry, present "The Promise and Peril of Mirror Cells."
Scientists are responsible for the accurate and ethical use of their inventions and instruments. Join Professors Pollock and Parish as they discuss how synthetic science could be used to create cells containing non-natural chirality, i.e. DNA with a left-handed twist or proteins with D-amino acids. What might be the benefits? The risks?
