“Ancestral Resilience: Indigenous Approaches to Natural and Manmade Disaster Preparedness"
This event is in partnership with Seven Directions of Service, with talks led by Dr. Crystal Cavalier-Keck and Jason Keck. The event “Ancestral Resilience: Indigenous Approaches to Natural and Manmade Disaster Preparedness”, will take place in the Humanites Commons and be first led by Dr. Cavalier-Keck. A Direct Action Training will then be provided by Jason Keck.
The final part of this series is a disucssion on "The how and why of nonviolence civil disobedience (historical context)". Which will then transition into a hands-on training leading to a specific action regarding climate justice and community re-investment alongside divestment from fossil fuels, surveillance, incarceration and the war economy.
