Public History, Journalism, and Activism: A Conversation with Molly Conger.

Apr 02
5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
University of Richmond, Humanities , Humanities Commons

Join us for a conversation and Q&A with Molly Conger, a journalist and activist who investigates American alt-right, white supremacist, and neo-Nazi movements in past and present. Conger gained national prominence while covering the 2017 Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, during which neo-Nazis and white supremacists marched with tiki torches, shouting “Blood and soil!” and “You will not replace us!” She is the host of the acclaimed true crime podcast Weird Little Guys, for which she researches the history of rightwing extremists by digging into old newspapers, court cases, and other primary sources. The event will be moderated by UR sophomore Maria Byrnes and Professor Michelle Kahn, and it is co-hosted by the History Department and Journalism Department.
