Tailwind of Love follows Eli Beech-Brown, '24, a Duluth, Minnesota native, as he bikes across America in honor of his late father, Jeff, who passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. Jeff undertook this same journey after graduating college, and now Eli is retracing his father’s path, seeking to reconnect with his spirit and navigate the complex emotions of grief. This heartfelt journey weaves together the beauty of nature, a son’s enduring love for his father, and the transformative power of disconnecting from the digital world.
This documentary was created largely by two University of Richmond alumni:
- Eli Beech-Brown, '24: The main character and focus of the film. From August to November of this year, Eli biked across the country, capturing much of the film’s content using a camcorder during his journey.
- Miles Goldman,'24: The executive producer of the film. Miles led fundraising efforts, developed creative strategy, managed public relations, and will oversee all film festival submissions upon the documentary’s completion.
