Continuing community building from spring 2024, we welcome back award-winning journalists, Tania Rashid, Elizabeth Flock, and Neil Brandvold for “Chronicles of Courage II: Reporting on Difficult Subjects in Difficult Times.” Elizabeth Flock will share her reporting on giving birth in Gaza and anti-abortion clinics. Tania Rashid will share her reporting on the student-led protests and fall-out in Bangladesh. Neil Brandvold will share his reporting on migrants detained in Panama and the prison state in El Salvador.

Tania Rashid, an award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker with thirteen years’ experience in conflict zones around the world. Rashid's work has been featured on networks including Al Jazeera English, CNN International, PBS Newshour, NBC News, National Geographic Channel, MIC, Channel 4UK, and VICE News.

Elizabeth Flock, an Emmy Award–winning journalist and author with a focus on stories about women and the fight for justice. Her work has been featured in The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The Atlantic, and on PBS NewsHour and Netflix, among other outlets. Flock is the author of the The Furies: Women, Vengeance, and Justice (HarperCollins, 2023).

Neil Brandvold, an award-winning filmmaker and photographer with experience working in conflict, disaster, and post-disaster zones around the globe. Brandvold has worked with The New York Times, HBO, Netflix, The Washington Post, National Geographic, The New Yorker, Newsweek, PBS Frontline, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, ABC News, USA Today, NPR, BBC, and CNN, among other outlets.
