SPCS New Student Orientation & Campus Tour

Newly admitted degree-seeking SPCS students are invited to attend our Spring New Student Orientation and Campus Tour.

• Prepare for the start of the semester.
• Meet your fellow students along with advisors, staff and faculty.
• Get to know the layout of campus and identify key points of interest.
• Join us for lunch in the award-winning Heilman Dining Center.

Event Details

• Date: Saturday, August 23
• Networking & Refreshments: 9:30-10 a.m.
• New Student Orientation: 10-10:30 a.m.
• Campus Tour: 10:45-11:45 a.m.
• D-Hall Brunch: 11:45 a.m. in the Heilman Dining Center

This event is family-friendly and open to all recently admitted SPCS students. Please indicate the total number of guests when you register.

Optional Opportunities

In the afternoon following the event, you can check off several items on the New Student Checklist before leaving campus:

• OneCard Services will be open 12-5 p.m. The office is located in the Heilman Center, so it’s an easy stop after brunch! Remember to submit a photo a couple of days prior to the event, and be sure to bring a government-issued photo ID.
• The UR SpiderShop will be open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The shop is located on the second floor of Tyler Haynes Commons (the building that straddles Westhampton Lake). Purchase printed textbooks and pick up some swag to show off your Spider pride!
• Parking Services will be open 12-4 p.m. The office located in the Special Programs Building, so it’s an easy stop before you leave campus.
