Jack Halberstam is a Professor of Gender Studies and English at Columbia University. He is the author of seven books on cultural studies and queer theory, including, most recently, “Wild Thing: The Disorder of Desire” where he explored the role of “wildness” in defining queer bodies against the orderly impulses of modernity. He is now finishing a second book on wildness, titled “The Wild Beyond: Music, Architecture and Anarchy.”
