Public Interest Law Review Symposium
University of Richmond, VA 23173
Join the Richmond Public Interest Law Review for their annual symposium titled "Trust, the Judiciary, and Movement Lawyering."
This year's symposium will highlight the historical and current trends shaping trust in the courts and movement lawyering.
Also known as community lawyering, movement lawyering is the practice of using the law to empower communities and social movements. The goal is generally to collaborate with communities to confront oppression inherent in our global political economy. Trust, the Judiciary, and Movement Lawyering will bring together prominent legal scholars and practitioners to facilitate discussions as we look for ways we can use the law to help our communities.
Event is free, but registration is required. This event will be held in-person (no virtual attendance option).
Check-in begins at 8:20 a.m.
5.5 Virginia CLE credits approved.
