Ngoma African Dance Company 31st Annual Concert

Celebrating 31 years, The Ngoma African Dance Ensemble is a company devoted to preserving the African,Black Dance Diaspora and folkloric art forms. Founded in 1995 by Markita Boney-Brooks and under the Artistic Direction of Babadunjo Olagunké. This year's production is entitled, “Yeatu Mpon!” We Have Risen!  African dance traditions, culture, rhythm, song, and dance continue to evolve in this technology-driven world. Tonight's presentation will bridge the tradition with the contemporary. Enjoy as we embrace the new and always giving homage to the old. We purposefully focus on patience and have experienced significant growth spiritually, physically, and metaphysically. Reaping the awesome benefits of appreciation and dedication.
