A Woman’s Work: Cassie Cipolla, mezzo soprano
University of Richmond, VA 23173
Department of Music Free Concert Series
In this faculty vocal recital, Cassie Cipolla performs works by both female and male composers that reflect women's experiences and the often invisible work women have done to shape musical and cultural history. The program explores the artistic, domestic, and social labor women have historically undertaken resulting from gendered expectations and limited access to power.
The Department of Music produces over 25 concerts annually featuring a broad range of styles and genres. Enjoy student recitals, faculty ensemble performances, and concerts created in collaboration with visiting artists. All concerts are free with tickets and seating is general admission.
