SPCS New Student Campus Tour

Newly admitted SPCS degree-seeking students are invited to attend our New Student Tour for the Fall 2026 semester on August 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We’ll start from SPCS offices in the Special Programs Building and conclude the tour in the Heilman Center, where we’ll treat you and your guests to brunch in our award-winning dining hall. Along the way we’ll point out campus locations to help you navigate your first days of class.

Event Details

• 10-10:15 a.m.: Registration at Special Programs Building (feel free to park in front of the building)
• 10:15-11:30 a.m.: Campus Walking Tour
• 11:30 a.m.: Brunch provided at Heilman Dining (it’s our treat!)

This is a family-friendly event. Family members are welcome to join you, but please include them in the count of attendees when registering.

Optional Opportunities

In the afternoon following the event, you can check off several items on the New Student Checklist before leaving campus:

• OneCard Services will be open 12-5 p.m. The office is located in the Heilman Center, so it’s an easy stop after brunch to get your ID! Remember to submit a photo a couple of days prior to the event, and be sure to bring a government-issued photo ID.
• The UR SpiderShop will be open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The shop is located on the second floor of Tyler Haynes Commons (the building that straddles Westhampton Lake). Purchase printed textbooks and pick up some swag to show off your Spider pride!
• Parking Services will be open 12-4 p.m. The office is located in the Special Programs Building, so it’s an easy stop before you leave campus.
