Virtual: "Why People Switch" Career Workshop

Why do people make big changes in their lives? From changing careers to building new habits to buying products and services, the reason for the change may not be easily accessible. In this interactive workshop, Beth McHugh, '04 and Alec Latimer introduce the Jobs to Be Done framework, an approach for understanding the real circumstances, motivations, and trade-offs behind people’s decisions to make a switch.  

Through interview examples and a guided walkthrough of the framework, attendees in this one-hour session will learn how to look beyond demographics and surface-level explanations to uncover what is truly driving change. This workshop is useful for anyone navigating transitions or seeking a deeper understanding of how people make decisions.
