Glacial Geology: A Window into Past Climate Change
Maraina Miles, visiting assistant professor of Geography, Environment & Sustainability, will discuss her research in Antarctica, Tierra del Fuego, and Maine, using cosmogenic nuclide exposure-age dating of glacial moraines. Her work seeks to understand how the climate has rapidly changed in the past to provide insight into how Earth’s systems will respond to future climate change.
Co-sponsored by the Environmental Studies Program, Global Studies Program, Department of Geography, Environment & Sustainability, and the Class of 1992 Fund.
